Amy Slaton is facing legal trouble.
The 1000-Lb. Sisters star was arrested alongside Brian Scott Lovvorn on Sept. 2 in Tennessee for illegal possession of Schedule I and Schedule VI substances and two counts of child endangerment, per the local Crockett County Sheriff’s Department.
According to the department’s statement, posted to Facebook along with Amy and Brian’s mugshots, authorities were requested to respond to the local Safari Park where a guest had been allegedly bitten by a camel. “Upon arrival,” it continued, “deputies were immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest’s vehicle.”
The statement also noted, “The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.”
While the statement from authorities did not supply additional details on the alleged camel bite, the statement read at the top, “FROM FEEDING A CAMEL TO THE SLAMMER.”
E! News has reached out to local police as well as reps and attorneys for Amy—who shares kids Gage Deon Halterman, 4, and Glenn Allen Halterman, 2, with ex-husband Michael Halterman—for comment but has not yet heard back.
The Sheriff’s department did not provide context on the child endangerment charges and did not confirm if Amy’s kids were with her at the time of her arrest.
Since Michael filed for divorce in March 2023 after four years of marriage, Amy has shared details of subsequent relationships with her fans on social media—though it is unclear what her relationship to Brian is.
Most recently, the TLC star slammed her ex-boyfriend Kevin—who she was first linked to in February—for dating her because he “wanted fame.”
"I love yall it been ruff few days and f--k him!" Amy wrote in the comments of a March 11 TikTok. "Not crying over his loser ass."
Prior to dating Kevin, Amy had gone social media official with a man named Tony Rodgers in December.
And while that relationship wasn’t meant to be, it did teach the 36-year-old an important lesson on how she wants to navigate introducing her children to suitors moving forward.
"You gotta meet my kids' daddy first and build that bond," she explained in a Feb. 25 TikTok, "and then maybe in a year."
But amid the ups and downs in her love life, there’s been one person Amy can always count on: her sister and costar Tammy Slaton.
As Amy told E! News in December, “This season on the show, you will see that Tammy let me move in with her. She gave me and my kids a place to be safe. All my siblings have been there for me with whatever I needed."
